Grafton resident Tracy Lovvorn easily won Tuesday’s primary race against Kevin Powers, sending her toward a rare challenge against 21-year incumbent U.S. Congressman James McGovern for the District 2 seat.
With all precincts reporting, Lovvorn won 60.81 percent of the votes. Powers had 39.19 percent. In Grafton, she picked up 826 votes versus 183 for Powers.
“A sincere THANK YOU- to each and everyone of you. Tonight we celebrate, Tomorrow it’s time to get to work! Together WE can do this,” Lovvorn said on Facebook after the results came in.
